If you're having trouble downloading a Netscape product from our download page, try downloading directly from our FTP servers.
Our FTP servers also let you download varieties of Netscape software that aren't available on the download page.
To download a Netscape product directly from an FTP server, use the following steps: - Go to ftp://ftp.netscape.com.
- Click on /pub/ so you are at ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/.
- Choose your product, version, language, and operating system.
- Choose file and be sure to read the license agreement before downloading the software.
Some pointers:
- The filenames for the Macintosh version of Netscape Navigator end with bin.
- The filenames for the Windows 3.1 version of Netscape Communicator start with cc16 or cb16
(for complete and base versions, respectively).
- The filenames for the Windows 95 or Windows NT version of Netscape Communicator start with cc32 or cb32 (for complete and base versions, respectively).
